THE HISTORY OF DELHI – JHAJJAR, HARYANA

The community of St. Michael Sarrti Public School in Kheri Khummar, Jhajjar, Haryana, was established during the tenure of office of Rev. Mother G. Rajamani, the Superior General, on 6 September 2020 with Sr. Daisy as the first Superior and Sr. Jyoshna as a member. The community received a warm welcome from the local Church, and the Tabernacle was blessed and installed by His Grace the Archbishop Anil Couto.

On 9 July 2021, Sr. Inigo Rani and Sr. Swarna Kumari joined the community, and Sr. G. Thesela Merlin arrived the following day. Sr. Daisy left for a new community on 18 July 2021, and Sr. Jyoshna left the next day. The current community members are Sr. G. Thesela Merlin, Superior, Sr. Inigo Rani the Procurator and Sr. Swarna Kumari the Secretary.

The purpose of establishing the community was to collaborate with the Archdiocese of Delhi in serving the Children in the School and spreading the Gospel values. The community’s present ministry is focused on education.
