THE HISTORY OF THE COMMUNITY
Most Rev. Dr. William D’Souza, the Archbishop of Patna with the consultation of Rev. Sr. Mary Stella, the Superior General of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, willingly invited us to render our service at Basauni, a beautiful village surrounded by beautiful huge mountains, hills and green fields, and among the poor and simple people, under the Patna Archdiocese.
On 20 June 2015, Sr. Juliet Cinderella and Sr. Helen Selva Rani were welcomed by Fr. Jamesshaker, the Secretary to the Archbishop, Fr. Jerome at Bishop’s House, Patna as Sr. Angel and Sr. Swarna have already reached Basauni a month ago. These two Sisters reached Basauni on the same day at 2.30 PM along with Rev. Fr. Prem the VG, Rev. Fr. Christu Raj, and Fr. Guldeep and they were received by Rev. Fr. Jose Cherakkal the Parish Priest of Basauni Parish, Rev. Fr. Augustine the Asst. Parish Priest and the Staff and the Prisoners with the Holy Eucharistic celebration which was followed by the Welcoming Ceremony.
On 30 June, Sr. Angel, Sr. Swarna, Sr. Juliet Cinderella, and Sr. Helen Selva Rani were welcomed cordially with flower bouquet by Rev. Fr. Jose Cherakkal, the Parish Priest, Fr. Christu Raj, and Rev. Fr. Augustine, the Vice-Principal on behalf of all the Staff and Students. The Principal and other Sisters assumed their office on 2 July 2015.
