THE HISTORY OF ANSALDO ARUNODAYA NILAYAM, KARUNAPURAM
The Ansaldo Arunodaya Nilayam in Karunapuram, founded by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, serves the purpose of the Ongoing Education of the Junior Sisters and engages in Pastoral and Evangelization Ministries in the Infant Jesus Shrine within the Arogyamatha Parish. The land was gifted by the Diocese of Warangal for charitable work.
The inauguration took place on 2 September 2011, Most Rev. Dr. Thumma Bala, the Bishop of the Diocese of Warangal blessed the Building and was inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Celine Hilda Mary. The first community members included Rev. Sr. Devamatha as the Superior and Junior Student Sisters Sr. Arogya Mary, Sr. Sunitha, and Sr. Sumalatha.
The ministry in Karunapuram focuses on Evangelization Ministry, such as preparing individuals for the reception of the First Holy Communion and Confirmation, visiting Catholic families, Conducting Catechism Classes, Arranging Prayer Services etc.
