St. Antonys Nursery & Primary School – Bharathiyar Nagar

THE HISTORY OF ST. ANTONY’S NURSERY & PRIMARY SCHOOL, BHARATHIYAR NAGAR

St. Antony’s Nursery & Primary School was established in 2002 with the primary goal of providing education in a Christian atmosphere to all students, emphasizing physical, mental, spiritual, social, and moral development. It was started by the sisters of St. Louis convent in Pettai and later moved to Bharathiyar Nagar.

The school has celebrated various events and occasions, including Education Development Day, Independence Day, Teachers Day, Children’s Day, Christmas, Pongal, Republic Day, and many others.

The initial members of the institution included Sr. Honorine as the Correspondent, Sr. Santhanashantha as the Principal, and Sr. Arockia Selvi as the Clerk.

The current team working at the school includes Sr. A.S. Arul Mary (Correspondent), Sr. G. Pamila (Principal), Sr. D. Josheba Mary, and Sr. T. Anbu Antony Sheela.

The purpose of establishing the school was to provide education to the poor, and the institution has since grown and made various improvements, including constructing new classrooms and purchasing additional land for expansion.

Overall, St. Antony’s Nursery & Primary School continues to provide education and contribute to the community through various events and initiatives.
