THE HISTORY OF DUNGARPUR, RAJASTHAN
St. Aloysius Niwas community was established in Dungarpur, Rajasthan, on 29 June 2014, as a mission house of Dungarpur District with its headquarters in the Diocese of Udaipur to engage in Education and Pastoral Ministries.
The first community members were Sr. Rajammal, the Superior, Sr. Reetha Mary, Sr. Joans Mary, and Sr. Jyothi Roja. They were assigned to work in St. Paul’s School in Dungarpur Parish. The community received a warm welcome from the local priests and parishioners.
The present ministries of the community include Education, Pastoral Work, Village Ministry, and taking care of the Hostel for Tribal Children, Catechism for Children and house visits.
