THE HISTORY OF LITTLE FLOWER CONVENT, NAGARI
The Little Flower Convent – Nagari was established in 1982 in response to an invitation from Most Rev. Dr. S. A. Arulaiah, the Bishop of Kadapa, with the purpose of engaging in Education and Evangelization. Mother Barbara Mary, the Superior General at that time, was instrumental in initiating this ministry.
The first community members included Sr. Christiyana Mary (the Superior), Sr. Adaikalam, and Sr. Jaya Rakini.
The primary Ministries undertaken were Education and Evangelization. In terms of evangelization, the sisters were actively involved in various Church Activities, Providing Catechism Classes to the Children in the Parish and Substations like Gundrajukuppam and Puttur, participating in singing, reciting the Rosary, and leading prayers on Sundays. The Sisters also played a significant role in preparing Children for their First Communion in Gundrajukuppam.
