Asha Deepam Postulants House – Nambur

THE HISTORY OF ASHA DEEPAM POSTULANTS HOUSE, NAMBUR

Asha Deepam Postulants House at Nambur was established in 2002 to provide Formation. A new Formation House was built on 26 January, 2001, with the assistance of Sacred Heart Fathers. The land consisting of 4 acres was acquired on 26 March 2000.

The Postulants’ House was blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Gali Bali, the Bishop of Guntur. Rev. Mother Noel Rani served as the Superior General, assisted by Rev. Sr. Francisca as the Assistant Superior General.

The first Postulants’ Mistress was Sr. Fatima, and the Assistant Mistress was Sr. Gregory. The Postulants included D. Arockia Mary, T. Rajeswari, A. Shailaja Mary, J. Shamala Devi, P. Sundari, and A. Karuna Mary. Sr. Fatima and the Postulants arrived at Nambur, and the formation began on 30vJanuary 2003.

The present ministries include Formation and Evangelization.
