THE HISTORY OF CARMEL MATHA E.M.SCHOOL
In the year of 1990 sister were stayed at sulanagar as well as doing education ministry. With the help of Rev.Fr.Justin Arackal the help of OCD floated this school.Since there was no established structure available for this noble purpose the tailoring center was converted into temporary school . Rev.Fr.Justin himself personally issued application forms for kindergarten school and 72 students were enrolled for the first year.
True to our charism, the sisters belonging to the religious institution of the Franciscan sisters of the st.Aloysius Gonzaga were called upon to take up this new establishment and develope the physical,mental spiritual,social and mental qualities of the students on 14th june 1990 the institution was established. the congration took up this task bravely and staff with two sisters manely Rev.Sr.Elizbeth and Rev,Sr.Alphonse. On 31.08.1994 with more efforts the institution were blessed by Rev.Fr.Raymond OCDRegional vicar. During the year Rev.Mother.Marimmal was superior General.
