THE HISTORY OF INFANT JESUS VILLA, BHARATHIYAR NAGAR, TIRUNELVELI

Infant Jesus Villa in Bharathiyar Nagar, Tirunelveli, was established with the purpose of increasing the presence of students and developing the school to improve the middle school. The community was permitted by Most Rev. Bishop Jude Paulraj on 17.08.2011, initially functioning in a rented building. On 23.08.2015, the land was blessed by Rev. Fr. Alphonse for the establishment of their own community.

The Superior General at the time of establishment was Mother C. Noel Rani. The new house was established on 24.04.2016 in the Diocese of Polaiyamkkotai, under the leadership of Most Rev. Bishop Jude Paulraj and with the support of Rev. Fr. Alphonse, who was the parish priest at the time.

The purpose of establishing the community was evangelization and education, and their present ministries include education, evangelization, and prison ministry. The first community members were Sr. G. Kulandai Therse (Superior), Sr. Motcha Alangaram, and Sr. G. Pamila.
