THE HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTION
Gonzaga Matric Hr. Sec. School was founded on 3rd June 2009 as Gonzaga Nursery and Primary School with the motto “Groom to Bloom.” Initially, it had 13 teaching staff, 4 non-teaching staff, and 262 students in Kathampallam, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. The school’s first Correspondent and Headmistress were Rev. Sr. Revathi. Subsequently, Rev. Sr. Ignatius, Rev. Sr. Sangthus Mary, and Rev. Sr. Josepheen Mary served as Correspondents, while Rev. Sr. Clementine, Rev. Sr. John Dayana, and Rev. Sr. Agnes Earnest Vimala were appointed as Principals. In 2011, the school was renamed Gonzaga Matriculation School, and in 2014, it evolved into Gonzaga Matric Hr. Sec. School. Over the years, the school’s educational environment has grown dynamically, and it currently accommodates 985 students, with 41 teaching and 27 non-teaching staff members. Gonzaga Matric Hr. Sec. School is renowned for its academic excellence and discipline, providing students with not only quality education but also ample opportunities in sports and extracurricular activities. The students have garnered numerous accolades by excelling in both Inter and Intra school competitions.
