THE HISTORY  OF ANSALDO ACADEMY, THAZHAMBUR

Ansaldo Academy, an educational institution established in 2015 in Seenivasanager, Thazhambur. The academy began with the aim of providing education to the poor and needy, especially SC and ST students who couldn’t afford to study in CBSE schools. Currently, it operates as a primary school from KG to 5th grade.

Growth: Ansaldo Academy started in 2015 with two sisters, two staff members, and 16 students. Over the years, it has grown to have 9 staff members and 146 students. The school conducts regular model and semester examinations and emphasizes extracurricular activities such as language skill programs, yoga, dance, and karate.

Purpose: The institution’s purpose is to provide education and social development for rural and tribal communities. Originally running Tamil medium education, they started an English medium section with CBSE syllabus under the name Ansaldo Academy.

Important Events and Celebrations: The academy celebrates various events at academic, religious, and congregation levels. This includes celebrations on occasions like Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Dr. A.P.J. Kalam’s birthday as science day, Children’s Day, and more. Religious events like Diwali, Christmas, and Pongal are also observed.

Achievements: The students of Ansaldo Academy have participated in various competitions outside the school and have won prizes in events like yoga, karate, and talents competitions.

Development Works: The academy has undertaken several development works, including renovating classrooms with additional tube fans, acquiring desks and benches, purchasing computers and laptops for student skill development, acquiring a new vehicle for student transport, and improving sanitation facilities.

First Members: The initial members of the institution were Sr. Fathima Sebastine, Sr. Aldio Cherin, and Sr. Daisy.
