THE HISTORY OF THE PRIEN – ST. ALOYSIUS CONVENT
“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds” (Jeremiah 30:17).
The Franciscan Germany Sisters have been working in the hospital. As the Sisters reached adulthood, they were required to return to their mother’s home, the Mother house. Due to this, the village President and the head of the hospital summoned the Sisters to request our Reverend Mother Noel Rani’s assistance in working at the hospital. Under the guidance of the Superior General, Reverend Mother Noel Rani, Sr. Kulandai Theresa discussed with the Village President and Chief Doctor of the Hospital, and they decided to form a new community for our working Sisters and student Sisters. The Sisters were given an opportunity to pursue their B.Sc Nursing studies, and after completing their studies, they could work at the Hospital. The first community was formed on 9th February with Sr. Juliane as the Superior and Srs. Arockia Vimalarasi, Kulandai Theresa, Annaporanam, and Arockia Mary as community members. We belong to Munch-Freising Diocese.
