THE HISTORY OF ST. LOUIS CONVENT, PETTAI
St. Louis Convent in Pettai was established on 10th June 1971 with the purpose of being with widows and the poor, encouraging them, and working towards a better future. The Superior General at the time of establishment was Mother Denis Mary.
The present ministries of the community include education, evangelization, and prison ministry.

The first community members were Sr. Arulantha Mary, Sr. Alexia Mary, Sr. Anishya Mary, and Sr. Innaciya Mary.
The convent underwent renovation on 23rd December 2018.
