THE HISTORY OF ST. JOSEPH’S CONVENT, KATPADI
The community prioritized education for the sisters and purchased land in Katpadi in January 2006. A building was constructed and blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Sounderaraj Periyanayagam, the former Bishop of Vellore, in August 2006. An adoration chapel and hostel for women were also blessed. The convent and hostel were later shifted from the Generalate to Provincialate. Several Mothers served in this Convent over the years, with Sr. A. Baby Therese being the current Superior.

Purpose of Establishment: To provide education for the sisters and a hostel for women studying at Auxiliam College, Vellore. The place was also utilized for sisters coming for treatment at Vellore CMC Hospital.
